What Do Other Students Say About Their Experience?
“I am a 4th year student in an International business school located in Paris called the European Business School of Paris.
I chose to study in Dublin, Ireland, at this college, because of the very positive feedback I got from previous students who went there, and also because the school allowed me to obtain a double diploma. It has a good reputation and I was eager to travel abroad, for a year, and meet international students.
This year at Independent College allowed me to enjoy a new approach to studying which French students like myself aren’t particularly familiar with, it was a lot more practical, being able to apply real life examples in our research and develop our critical analysis.
Our teachers were very caring of their students, making sure each one of us understood the topics, and they were particularly looking for our inputs in debates.
The IT infra-structure was very efficient and allowed the students to communicate with teachers and post our work online through Moodle.
The staff within the school were very helpful, we were very guided, especially us international students that had lots of questions and they were very patient with us, it never felt like they were bothered and they would always take time to make sure we got everything we needed. The university is located in city centre which was very helpful and easy to get to.
Overall this experience has allowed me to open my mind to new cultures, new ways of thinking and has broadened my vision on working abroad. I would suggest to any student considering studying abroad to do it, even though it did get tough from time to time, the overall experience was nothing but enlightening.”

“My name is Luc, I am French and I completed my undergraduate degree with a major in Human Resources at Independent College.
I chose to study at Independent College as part of an exchange program with my former French business school. Among other destinations I chose this colleges as it has been warmly recommended from students I knew, who studied there. The campus is located nearby the financial district of Dublin, one of the boomiest city in Europe.
Independent College will remain for me one of the best college I have studied from. Arriving in a new country with a different speaking language was quite worrying. But, even before classes I had the opportunity to meet administration staff that helped me get on track. They reassured me and gave valuable advice for my installation. It was real added value.
This institution helped me develop my professional capabilities to a greater level. The class were not too crowded, and the educational team was very dedicated and supportive. All the cases I have worked on were based on real life scenarios like those you could be face while working.
Lecturers always responded to my emails and were always available after class for advice. I have learned to apply taught knowledge for individual and group presentations, multi-disciplinary projects, teamwork, and active involvement in extra activities. For instance, I joint the charity group. In it, I have met new people and together we gathered to raise funds and collect food for multiples charities like the Red Cross and Peter Mcverry Trust.
Independent College taught me that hard work and dedication always pay. That college is not only about classes and grades but also about being part of a community.
When thinking about a college it is important to pay attention to all the details that will help you enhance yourself during your studies. Independent College have one of the most modern campus I have seen. You will be able to enjoy a good coffee on the rooftop that hold a nice view over the city.
There is plenty of rooms to work peacefully after class. WIFI covers the whole building. Computing room is available with qualitative equipment and printing devices. Also, nowadays a lot of colleges do not hold libraries anymore. At Metropolitan it was not the case. I never struggled to find or borrow a book. And the librarian was huge help while looking for resources to write my end of year business project.
The college prepared me well and help trust myself. In my opinion Independent College invests a lot in its students. They really looked after me and pushed me go further than I would do by myself. Thanks to Independent College, I had the opportunity to enrol in one of the best Msc in the World at Trinity College.
If coming to Independent College, you will experience living with people from many nationalities. You will gain from the input of professional and dedicated lecturers. Coming here was the most valuable choice of my life.
Now I see myself as a maker. The builder of my destiny. Without Independent College it would have not been the same. To all Independent College staff my deepest acknowledgment.”
